SALAD FOR BREAKFAST?!?

YUP YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY; SALAD FOR BREAKFAST. I’VE BEEN HAVING THIS ALOT LATELY. IT IS DELICIOUS AND HAS LOTS OF FIBER AND NUTRIENTS TO KEEP ME FULLER LONGER ALONG WITH SOME PROTEIN AND CARBS TO HELP KEEP MY MORNING ENERGIZED. HERE’S WHAT I WILL COMMONLY USE. YOU CAN DO ANY COMBINATION YOU LIKE. MOST OF THE TIME I JUST DO EGGS WITH A LITTLE TACO SEASONING, HOT SAUCE AND LOTS OF VEGGIES.

– 4 EGG WHITES (3 IF I’M ADDING MEAT TO THE SALAD)

– 2-3 OZ OF CHICKEN BREAST W/ A LITTLE TACO SEASONING

– SPRING SALAD MIX

– SPINACH

– GRILLED ONION

– GRILLED SWEET POTATO (ABOUT 2-3 OZ. LIMIT THESE BECAUSE THEY ARE A STARCH)

– GRILLED ASPARAGUS

– CILANTRO

– GREEN ONION

– TOMATO

– ALALFA SPROUTS

– CUCUMBER

– 1/4 OF A SMALL AVOCADO

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS

– TEASPOON OF PESTO (LIMIT BECAUSE IT IS HIGH IN FAT)

– TABLESPOON OF PLAIN GREEK YOGURT (FAGE IS MY FAVORITE BRAND)

– HOT SAUCE (I LOVE TAPATIO BUT ANY WILL DO. HOT SAUCE HELPS TO REV UP YOUR METABOLISM!)
